STORE POLICIES

• PURCHASING FIREARMS ONLINE

  It is illegal to ship firearms to anyone not holding an active Federal Firearms License (FFL). For that reason, firearms purchased online must be picked up at our store or shipped to an FFL (gun store) near you. We will contact and verify the FFL you select during checkout before we ship your firearm(s). The buyer is encouraged to contact the receiving FFL licensee before purchase.

• RETURNS

  If you are not satisfied with your purchase, please contact us for a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) request within 10 business days of the receipt of the product. If the item is returned unopened in the original box, we will exchange it, offer you store credit, or offer you a refund, less 25% restocking fee, based on your original method of payment. The product must be returned within 10 business days of the issuance of the RMA. All products must be packed in the original packaging, including any accessories, manuals, documentation and registration that shipped with the product. A 15% open box fee in addition to the 25% restocking fee (totaling 40%) will be assessed on any sealed product that is opened or removed from its original packaging. Cancelation of online orders must be submitted by 6pm on the day they were made in order to avoid the 25% restocking fee. Cancelation of online orders after end of business day will incur the 25% restocking fee, no exceptions. 
  
  Please note that we do not permit the return of the following products:
     1. Special orders and products that are custom configured to your specifications.
     2. Products sold "as is" or "used" or that have been installed or used after receipt.
     3. Firearms, once transferred to buyer.
     4. Illumination devices, electronic sights, optics and night vision equipment.
  
  NOTE: We recommend that you use a carrier that offers shipment tracking for all returns, and either insure your package for safe return or declare the full value of the shipment so that you are protected if the shipment is lost or damaged in transit. If you chose not to use a carrier that offers tracking and insure or declare the full value of the product, you will be responsible for any loss or damage to the product during shipping.
  
  The United States Postal Service (USPS) offers limited tracking capabilities and that there is a 30-calendar-day waiting period before USPS will initiate a trace. The customer is responsible for shipping charges both ways on returns, as well as for shipping charges on shipments that are refused.

• USED FIREARMS

  The seller provides all descriptions for used items. All descriptions for used items are honest and based on actual items being offered for sale. Items being sold in this manner will be marked as such. All sales on used items are final. Photos will be provided when available. All machine guns are considered used unless otherwise noted.

• GENERAL FIREARM SALES

  All firearms, magazines, receivers and restricted law enforcement items are sold and shipped in accordance with all existing federal, state and local laws and regulations. Many of the firearms, magazines and parts for sale on this website may be restricted or prohibited in your area. Please check your local and state regulations before ordering. YOU MUST HAVE A STATE ISSUED ID TO PURCHASE A FIREARM. PASSPORTS, CITY OF PHILADELPHIA ID CARDS, AND FOREIGN GOVERNMENT ISSUED ID CARDS ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE AS SOLE FORMS OF IDENTIFICATION. 
  
  All new firearms are shipped in the original manufacturer's box, with magazine(s), accessories and applicable warranty. Firearms requiring warranty work must be returned to the factory within 1 year of purchase for repair. Accessories and special order items not normally sold by our store will not be covered under warranty even if these products are part of an integrated firearms package, unless we have guaranteed the entire package in writing. Please contact the original manufacturer for warranty information on all accessories and special order items.

• FINANCING
  
  Financing of products, inculding firearms, is provided by Credova, a third-party-vendor. Founding Fathers Outfitters is in no way able to influence the outcome of a financing decesion. Founding Fathers Outfitters is not able to view customer's financial/credit information. Once the customer has accepted the financing agreement and the products have been delivered to the customer, no returns will be allowed. No more than 30% of the financed total may be consumable products (cleaning supplies, targets, other disposable products). Ammo is NOT able to be financed. • SECURE TRANSMISSION

  All information collected during the checkout process is transmitted via industry standard Transport Layer Security (TLS). A Transport Layer Security (TLS) Certificate (or SSL Certificate) creates an encrypted connection between a Web site and a visitor's Web browser. This link ensures that all data passed between the Web site and the browser remains private and secure.

• ORDER FULFILLMENT

  All orders are usually shipped promptly from a distributor warehouse or in-store inventory within 3 - 10 business days using UPS, FedEx, or USPS. Tracking numbers are available for items shipped from the store via UPS and FedEx.

• ONLINE PRICE & DESCRIPTION ERRORS

  Online inventory changes every day. Occasionally an item may appear on the site by mistake or the item's description may contain a typographical error. We do not guarantee that titles, descriptions, pictures or prices on our site are error-free. We reserve the right to refuse any order including but not limited to orders for items with errors in the description or price. In the event that we cancel an order we will not charge the customer's credit card or we will refund the money.
  
  If an item's description contains an error such as incorrect photo, price, accessory or description and a customer makes the order, we will not process the order without first contacting the customer. If the order is mistakenly shipped, we may advise the customer to return the item in an unopened condition and we will refund the customer. By placing an order, the customer agrees that Founding Fathers Outfitters will be the final arbiter of discrepancies in the online catalog.

• AMMUNITION PURCHASES

  You must be 18 or older to purchase rifle or shotgun ammunition and 21 or older to purchase handgun ammunition. All ammunition will be shipped ground with adult signature required. Always make sure to use the correct ammunition for your specific firearms. Check your local laws for any other regulations.

• 30 DAY LAYAWAY POLICY
  
  All Sales are final, no exchanges or refunds once the layaway has commenced. Only one firearm can be put on layaway at a time. During the initial 30-day period, you may make several smaller, payments or one final payment at the end of the 30 days. Layaways cancelled at any time for any reason will be subject to a penalty fee equal to 30% of the total sale price (i.e. the initial deposit). Layaways not paid in full within the 30-day period will be cancelled and all paid amounts will be forfeited. In the event of an ATF Form 4473 denial, a $60 denial fee will be assessed in addition to the 30% penalty fee.
  
  
• AGE REQUIREMENTS
  
  You must be 18 to purchase Rifles and Shotguns. You must be 21, and a resident of Pennsylvania to purchase a Handgun or Revolver. Lower Receivers and Firearms NOT classified as Shotgun or Rifle may only be sold or transferred to a Pennsylvania Resident age 21 and older. Federal law allows rifle and shotgun ammunition may be sold to persons of the age of 18, handgun ammunition may only be sold to persons over 21. 
  
  Residents of New Jersey are welcome to purchase/transfer a Rifle or Shotgun that is in compliance with NJ Law, as long as the NJ resident possesses a NJ Firearm Purchaser ID Card, and presents it at time of service.
  
  
• FIREARM ORDERING POLICY
  
  If you would like to purchase a Firearm from us that is not normally carried in our store, but that is stocked at the warehouse, a minimum deposit of 25% is required. If the firearm is a Special Order that is not stocked by us in any capacity, a minimum deposit of 50% is required. Should you cancel your order of a stocked firearm, a restocking fee of 25% of the firearm's total price will be charged. If the cancelled firearm is a Special Order, a cancellation fee of 50% of the firearm's total price will be imposed. Should your transfer be denied by the PA State Police or ATF, the same fees will be imposed, plus a $60 background check denial fee.
  
  Firearms are required to be picked up within 30 days of initial notification by Founding Fathers Outfitters. After 30 days, a storage fee of $5 per day will be imposed. Exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis. Should the storage fees accrue more than fifty percent of the sale price of the firearm, the firearm will be subject to forfeiture and resale. Should the resale of the firearm total more than the accrued fees, you will be refunded the difference.
  
  Example: Firearm purchase price is $500. Storage fees are $250. Restocking fee is $125. Total fees are $375. Firearm resells for $500. Your refund is $125. For more information about this policy, please contact us.

• TRANSFER OF FIREARMS PURCHASED FROM ANOTHER FFL
  
  We are more than glad to provide your online/out-of-area firearms dealer a copy of our FFL to facilitate the transfer to you. We will only provide our FFL certificate directly to the shipping FFL, unfortunately we can not provide you with a copy. Our transfer fee is $40. For military (including retirees), fire, ems, police, security, municipal employees, the fee is $30. Valid ID is required. Should you be denied by the PA State Police or ATF, the NON-REFUNDABLE Denial Fee is $60. We will attempt to contact the Shipping FFL for a return of the firearm, however any refund requests must be made between the purchaser and the seller. Founding Fathers Outfitters will not provide any type of refund for a firearm not purchased from us.
  
  Upon receipt and processing of a firearm, Founding Fathers Outfitters will attempt to contact the purchaser with with whatever phone number is provided by the seller. Founding Fathers Outfitters is not responsible for a sellers failure to provide the buyers information.
  
  Firearms are required to be picked up within 15 days of notification to buyer by Founding Fathers Outfitters. After 15 days the firearm will be moved to a long-term storage vault and a storage fee of $5 per day will be imposed. Exceptions will be made on a case-by-case basis.
  
  Should the sending FFL decline the return and your storage fees have exceeded 50% of the value of the firearm, your firearm will be subject to forfeiture. The buyer will be sent notification via FEDEX with legal notification of forfeiture. In order to take posession of the firearm, the buyer will have to pay all storage fees as well as the standard transfer fee. 
  
  
• PERSON-TO-PERSON FIREARM TRANSFERS
  It is the policy of Founding Fathers Outfitters that both the seller and buyer of the firearm are present for the transaction. Our transfer fee is $40. For military (including retirees), fire, ems, and police the fee is $30. Valid ID is required. Should you be placed in research by the PA State Police or ATF, the firearm must remain in possession of Founding Fathers Outfitters until final determination is made by the PA State Police or ATF as to whether or not the buyer is legally allowed to possess the firearm. Should the buyer be denied, the seller will be contacted to pick up the firearm. The seller then must complete a background check, regardless of firearm ownership. The transfer fee is not refundable. Any refund requests must be made between the purchaser and the seller. Founding Fathers Outfitters will not provide any type of refund for a firearm not purchased from us.
  
  
• NON-US CITIZEN FIREARM PURCHASE POLICY
  
  While federal law allows for the purchase of a firearm by US VISA holders that have a hunting license issued by the state of temporary residence, it is the policy of Founding Fathers Outfitters to deny firearm sales to such individuals.
  
  Founding Fathers Outfitters, is more than happy to accommodate the sale of a firearm to Non-US Citizens who hold a Permanent Resident status, also known as a "Green Card." Purchaser must present their Permanent Resident ID ("Green Card") when the Federal Background check is initiated. Failure to provide required ID will result in denial of sale.
